So, I decided to start a blog

I have no idea.

I originally thought I needed some writing training and signed up for NaNoWriMo17. Why not dive into the deep end while you’re at it, right? Don’t worry, I nailed it. To my great surprise, I ended up with 50,333 words! I went into November thinking 3,000 will probably be my end. Smashed that. Then I raised my bar to 10,000, having the same thoughts about “this being my limit”. But no, how wrong I was. Raised my bar again to 30,000 thinking it was beyond me. But I managed. Not only did I have the words, my red thread was there throughout the story, weaving in and out. It is not the most exciting story, but it is a story. And I ended up impressing myself.

Then I went back to reading books and almost forgot about writing.

So now I’m sat in my very comfy white sofa 23:30 on a Wednesday night starting a blog about reading. First thing I did was to customise the looks of the blog. Typical. “A blog is about content Ivy not about looks.” Yeah yeah, I’m just gonna change this font 10 thousand times first…

I signed up for this blog couple of hours ago, but you know the font decision almost got the better of me. Then there was the themes, the colour choices and palettes. Good thing I can change things along the way.

So here we go

  1. I only started a blog because friends and family convinced me to. But I was hooked right away and now two years later, my blog has grown at lot. I started December 2015.
