What is My TBR in-depth? It’s a feature I’m having on my blog 🤗 I do not know if anyone else has something similar (if you do let me know!), but I’ve named mine My TBR in-depth and it’s all about having a closer look at your TBR. Maybe I’ll give someone an idea of a book they want to try. Or maybe I’ll get a TBR cleanout done.
Every other Monday I will post a list of books currently on my Want to Read (GoodReads) list or TBR (owned books), and every post has a theme. Next post theme is mentioned at the bottom of this post. Join in if you like with the hashtag my-tbr-in-depth and tag me so I can see what you have on your list 😊
So far I’ve done one posts in the series:
This week its time for those Popular Older YA/MG Series I Want To Try books on my TBR (Owned books) and Want To Read (GoodReads) list!
Let’s go!
Series I Really Want To Try
1. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
I have this series, all the books. I just havent gotten that far yet. I can’t wait tho. This series is the next on my list.
2. Summoner Series by Taran Matharu
I have book 1, 2 and 4 in this series and it sounds soo good!
3. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I have the first book in this series and it sounds really good.
4. Ember Quartet by Sabaa Tahir
This sounds epic!
5. Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore
I have the entire trilogy and it’s very close to the top of my list.
6. Firebird series by Claudia Grey
This is just one of those books I really want to read and I don’t even know/remember what it’s about, but I still want to read it. So I’ll give it a try.
7. Gentleman Bastard by Scott Lynch
Again I have all the books!! I just need time…
8. Captive Prince by S.U. Pacat
I’ve heard mixed stuff about this series but the premise is interesting. I will definitely try it. Also LGBT+ romance, hell yeah!
10. Starboud by Amie Kaufman
I love the cover. And I own it. That’s the reason I should try it. I do own the audiobook, as of very recently…
11. Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima
This sounds really good and I’ve read the first chapter when I did the Try A Chapter Tag.
12. Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I’m basically reading this to understand why people are hooked on Noah Shaw. Why? I need to now.
13. Fallen by Lauren Kate
I saw the movie not so long ago and the story really hooked on to me. Apart from the insta-love and “I’ll rather die than not be with you” attitude, the fallen angles aspect fascinates me. I reckon after I read one Fallen Angle premise I’ll have had enough and don’t need to read another like Hush, Hush. We’ll see.
14. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
I’ve picked this for my ReadHarder challenge 2018 as a sci-fi novel with a female protagonist. But I might just end up reading the entire series becasue I have them all.
15. The Broken Earth by N. K. Jemsin
This sounds really good and I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. I’m very intrigued.
16. Falling Kingdom by Morgan Rhodes
I’m not even going to explain why this is on my shelves. Now that all the books are out I can finally get to it.
17. Fablehaven by Brandon Mull
I’m a sucker for fables, Scandi and Germanic lore. This seems to have it all. I’m not ever questioning it.
18. The Queens Thief by Megan Whalen Turner
I have the first book and it’s really short so I should just read it.
19. The Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo
After I read Six of Crows earlier this year, I needed to know more about this universe. I own the audiobook so I really should just get started. Also, I need to know about the Darkling! Who is this creature?!
20. The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco
I’ve had my eyes on this for a couple of years now and I’m still really interested.
That’s all the series I have yet to start but really want to. Have you read any of these yet?
Next time I’ll list all the LGBT+ books on my shelf of all genres; fantasy, non-fiction, contemporary. All of it!
Stay tuned 😁
I definitely recommend everything by Leigh Bardugo, and ahh I just started reading the Captive Prince series & I didn’t really like book #1, but book #2 is so, so good! I can’t wait to hear what you think of it, when/if you get around to reading it. ❤

Thanks! Yeah, I read Six of Crows earlier this year and loved it. She’s a great writer. I’ll keep that in mind. I think I only have book one and two anyway so they will both be read.

Thats a lot of series! If you read them all how many books is that?!?! I read the first two books of the Ember in the Ashes series. I enjoyed them, but don’t remember enough to read the newest book, so I probably will never finish that one. I read all three gracling books and really liked them! (I don’t know if they are really a trilogy, they are connected but not a continued story)
I really want to read Raven Boys and the Summoner Series!
Great list! Good luck with your reading 🙂

Yes and that’s my problem: there are a lot of books here. Too many to count. But at least if I try book one I kind of know if Im interested or not and can therefore either take them off my TBR or continue. But right now they all look really interesting and I want to try them all.
I just started the Summoner series and really liking it so far 😁
Thanks. I think i need it 😂

Great list! I see so many awesome titles 🙂
I’ve read and loved The Raven Boys, Shatter Me, Seven Realms and Graceling. Delirium was pretty good, too, I think. I still haven’t read Falling Kingdoms and Shadow & Bone, but I’m hoping to read them soon 🙂
Good luck with the reading and I hope you enjoy all these books!

I want to try the Raven Cycle and Shatter Me as well.
Lies of Locke Lamore kinda pissed me off, and i’m not even sure why. I mean, the writing was great, but i just wanted the main character to fail so miserably… he was supposed to be this charming bad guy with a hard past and all, but i just couldn’t like him at all.

Interesting 🤔 I’ll keep that in mind but the way you put it makes it sound funny to me. We’ll see what I think when I get to it 😊

You have so many amazing books on your TBR! I love The Raven Boys, The Bone Witch, Shadow and Bone and Fablehaven! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did 😊 I listened to These Broken Stars on audio and it was amazing, but the second book is even better, especially as an audiobook!
