The Incredible Spy Vera@ Unfiltered Tales invited me to take part in this fun challenge. It looks like a lot of fun, so let’s do it.
The challenge: Find a book that contains (either on the cover or in the title) an example for each category. You must have a separate book for all 20, get as creative as you want and do it within five minutes!!
I have placed myself in front of my shelves so let’s go!
A La Vie, A La Mort by Stephanie Meyer
Guilty… Not a good start.
I did buy it in French as I was going through a face of learning a lot of French. I’m still learning French and I will at some point read it for the training of reading French, not because I’m super keen on the Twilight stuff, though the first book int he series was my favourite.
The Abyss Beyond Dreams by Peter F Hamilton
There is a small spaceship in the middle there. In case you missed it… unless it’s an asteroid, which you could argue is a form of transportation though you might not have good control over the direction or speed at which you are travelling at.
A Gathering of Shadows by Victoria Schwab
Evna by Siri Pettersen
Well, it’s got feathers on it, if not an entire animal. It’s animalistic.
The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu
Just borrowed this for a colleague of mine and I have had my eyes on this for s while. It sounds really interesting but complex and science heavy (yay!).
SOMETHING YOU READ
Well from where I sit I can see my entire read shelf so here it is 🙂
there are only four shelves with reading books, the second bottom shelf are all my uni books and the very bottom shelf is my printer, and folders and stuff.
BODY OF WATER
The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
PRODUCT OF FIRE
Thiefs of Magic by Trudi Canavan
There’s fire on the cover
Fallen Kingdom by Morgan Rhodes / Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb / The High Lord by Trudi Canavan / Lisey’s Story by Stephen King (get it?)
Seems royalty is a common theme on my shelf.
There’s nothing like a good tag to uncover trends in my book buying habits I dont want to admit to…
The Loney by Andrew Michael Hurley
It has a house on the front and some branches which are pretty architectural.
The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
Triologien om Gutten (The Trilogy of the Boy) by Jon Kalman Stefansson
The Rabbis Daugther by Reva Mann
TIME OF DAY
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas
The Chimes by Anna Smaill
I loved this book and I love the cover! ❤️❤️
The Art of Being Normal by Lisa Williams
Because “normal” doesn’t exist and must, therefore, be something paranormal… 😂
But seriously what is normal? The norm? What is the norm these days?
Inspector Singh Investigates a Deadly Cambodian Crime Spree by Shamini Flint
Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
Onyx and Ivory by Mindee Arnett
That’s colours, right?
Luna New Moon by Ian McDonald
SOMETHING THAT GROWS
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert
This is a double up; both Hazel and a Wood grows
I managed all but two within the five minutes. I struggle with Transportation and Body of Water. They were difficult for me, but I managed.
To join me and the others in this game a select:
No pressure guys! Only do it if you want to.
Until next time 📖📖
