I smashed the Biannual Bibliothon! And I really enjoyed it. Its the most social readathon I’ve participated in. Their twitter account was all over this and I really enjoyed that too. I’m looking forward to the next round.
Let’s have a closer look ๐

Books Read
Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse
Pages: 304p
Opinion: I absolutely loved this book! โค๏ธย I had it set by my bed on Friday night so Saturday morning, first thing, I could start it before even leaving bed ๐ย Maggie, the main character is a hunted person, not by ghosts but by bad events.ย
We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Pages: 52p
Options: I loved this as well! It was thought-provoking and even though it was only 52 pages I had to read it over two days. It’s very well written and I highly recommend it to everyone even if you feel you know it or doesn’t feel like this is for you. Its only 52pages, it’s a quick but important read.
The Twistrose Key by Tone Almhjell
Pages: 354pages
Opinions: This middle-grade adventure was exciting. Lin, the main character, is sent a key that fits the wall in the cellar. She ends up in a world where loved pets go when they pass away. But the world is threatened by trolls and giants. Lin is reunited with her pet and has to help solve the puzzle and save the town.
Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
Pages: 201p
Opinion: I have to say, it was nice to revisit these guys. But it’s not a heavy read or a complicated read. It’s easy and quick. I saw all the characters from the tv show while reading but that didn’t all fit the description in the book ๐ค
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
Pages: 448p
Opinions: I really enjoyed the premise; no deaths but scythes that take life. The constant struggle between enjoying the gleaning and the grief/moral aspect. The book was catching and drew me in quickly. The only negative thing about this book is that I felt the main female character, Citra, was quite stereotypical and it was disappointing.

Anyone else joining the Biannual bibliothon?
Have any of you done any readathons so far this year? How did you do? Did you enjoy it?
The only readathons I’ve done this year are 25in5’s and 8in2’s, all of which I have no completely succeeded in! I came close with an 8in2 once, so I’m hoping to be successful the next time around!

Iโve never hear of those. Whatโs the challenge for those? Good luck on the next round then! ๐

They’re pretty simple readathons, you just have to read 25 hours over the course of 5 days or 8 hours over the course of a weekend for each one, respectively. The first one I attempted was a 25in5 and that one turned out to be much harder than anticipated. I think the 8in2 is a lot more managable; I just keep getting scheduled to work long shifts on the weekends they’re held on!

Oh cool! Yeah doesnโt sound easy if youโre working but very doable if you have time off. I might give them a go for the next round. Thanks for the tip ๐

You really did smash that readathon! I thought about joining this but was way too lazy to check books for all the challenges ๐

๐ for me creating a TBR that fits all the challenges was half the fun, but thatโs my planner-nerd instincts kicking in ๐ค
