My Contemporary-A-Thon update blog in the form of a meme!
This meme is hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What are you currently reading?
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon – Contemporary-a-thon read ➡️ read a book with orange on the cover
I Can’t Make This Up; Life Lessons by Kevin Hart & Neil Strauss – Contemporary-a-thon read ➡️ read a book with my initials (I K M) somewhere on the cover
One Day in December by Josie Silver – Contemporary-a-thon read ➡️ new to me author.
The Silk Road: A new history of the world by Peter Frankopan – I’m listening to this on audiobook at a slow and steady pace. I’m hoping to finish this sometime before Christmas lol so it will be featured a lot on my WWW posts. I’ve got just over 16h left and I am thoroughly enjoying it though.
What did you recently finish reading?
Fight Like A Girl by Clementine Ford – I truly love this book and did a full review here.
What do you think you’ll be reading next?
The Loney by Andrew Michael Hurley
What are you currently reading? Any good?
Until next time 😁
Congrats on the awesome progress of the readthon so far! Fight Like a Girl sounds like a wonderful and motivating read.

What are your thoughts on When Dimple Met Rishi so far? I’ve heard so many mixed reviews so I’m really curious!

So far I think it’s really cute and nerdy. I love it so far. I have heard mixed reviews as well and I can see why but I understand them both. I feel if you can’t relate to both as people you will struggle. But then I don’t know the ending yet so things might change. I don’t know if that helps you at all but maybe a little?

UPDATE: I just finished it and loved it! Dimple is a total feminist and I don’t understand the bad reviews. Maybe it’s a love it or hate it book?

Whoa! Yeah. I guess it is a very polarising book and if you don’t get the characters at first…you won’t get them by the end. I’m glad you enjoyed it, though! :’)

Ooh! I really liked One Day in December! Especially how the story’s set over the span of YEARS instead of only a couple of months, like is the case in most romance fictions these days. 😛

That’s true, the years situation is a very realistic touch. I’m almost halfway and I’m liking it so far but there are some stuff in here that I’m not sure about. We’ll see how it turns out.

I think I still have to edit my review and such but I do remember liking it. Now I’m curious whether I wrote anything “bad” in there as well.. Should check it tonight, hah. 🙂
Hope it turns out okay!
