Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What are you currently reading?
Empress of All Season by Emiko Jean – I’ve seen this around the bookverse and thought it sounded interesting so I picked it up. I’m only a few pages in and it looks to be a quick and fun read.
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy – This is the longest read on my ReadHarder challenge this year. and I’ve just started it… I’m hoping to finish it before the end of the year. It’s my lunch book so it will last until Christmas, and then I’ll have to finish the rest during Christmas. But that is was Christmas is for. reading 🙂
Deepest Blue by Mindy Tarquin – After getting very confused and bored I decided to not give up but put it on hold for now. I’m too busy to have time for a boring book right now. I haven’t given up on it, it’s just on hold… I promise.
The Silk Road: A new history of the world by Peter Frankopan – I’m listening to this on audiobook at a slow and steady pace. I’m hoping to finish this sometime before Christmas 😂 so it will be featured a lot on my WWW posts. I’ve got about 10h left (out of 24h) and I am thoroughly enjoying it though. I’m literally doing an hour a week…! its ridiculous
What did you recently finish reading?
The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu – full review here
What do you think you’ll be reading next?
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson – this looks really good, and I have not read any sci-fi by Brandon Sanderson just fantasy. Could be interesting.
What are you currently reading? Any good?
Until next time 😁
Good luck with Anna Karenina! I started War and Peace earlier this year and still haven’t got back to it yet. 🙂

😂😂 thanks! I did read Les Miserable last year so I know I’m capable but then I loved the musical and movie so I always need what happens next. It was tedious but I pulled through. Hopefully I can do that for Anna Karenina 😊

If you managed Les Mis I’m sure you’ll manage 🙂 Isn’t there a film for Anna Karenina too?

Yeah I’m sure I will. There is but I don’t really want to see it tbh. Don’t know why. I’m just gonna have to plough through.

Oh yikes; this reminds me I’ve yet to write my review on Empress of All Seasons, haha. I jotted down some notes right after reading it but I still haven’t gotten back to those to actually make a review out of it. 😂 Hope you’ll end up loving it though! 😀

😂 I tend to start my review when I’m halfway through the book and the finish it just before I finish the book. That way I only have to read it trough and do minor edits when I finish the book. I don’t know why I do it this way 🤷♀️ I just do. So far it’s pretty good 😊 I’m enjoying the female badassery 😁

Haha, I sometimes do it like that as well! “Problem” is I usually read a book in about two or three days and I don’t always have time to start a review in between already. 😛 I do always keep notes on my phone while reading though; definitely helps when I have to write my entire review in one go afterwards!
Awesome! 😀

😂 yeah 3-4 days is like a standard length for a book for me and I fit some drafting done on day 2/3. But there are times when I don’t have anything to say for the book but still have to review it. That’s when I leave it and forget about the book. Notes are a must! Otherwise we are lost! The amount of books we bookbloggers read, we have to take notes. My non bookish friends are really surprised by me note taking or tabbing. But it’s a must!

Having nothing to say about a book is the WORST. Especially if it’s an ARC and you’re like “Oh freak what do I doooo..” because you need to write a review and can’t just ignore that, haha. It also, sometimes, happens that I’m soooo immersed in a book I completely forget to take notes. Which is equally the best and worst feeling ever. 😂😂
Exactly! My boyfriend doesn’t understand at all why I need sticky notes when I’m reading but they’re so important if you want to use quotes or simply remind yourself of something you should definitely mention in your review!

😂 yup. It will end up being one of those reviews that could be about any book, so general. I love getting immersed 😍 it’s the best feeling ever. Love a good set of sticky notes. Your comment is exactly on point! That’s it!
