it’s over…
I cried when I saw this pop up on my screen:
*Video copyrights to NaNoWriMo, not me…
Watching it again – yeah there are tears in my eyes…
Thank you NaNo for “appreciating” me and my efforts. It clearly mattered more than I thought it would.
😢
The goal is to write 50 000 words in 30 days from 1st November to the 30th November. It can be whatever you want to write, but I did the classic and started the 1st chapter of my new novel 🤗
I finished on chapter 21 😱
Progress
I’ve been in a slump for the entire week before. I posted a photo on Instagram of my laptop with the Heathrow runway in the background saying I hope I find inspiration in the clouds or something.
It is my most liked photo this year! And I got so many “good luck” and “you can do it” messages it warmed my heart.
It wasn’t easy getting out of that slump but as the last week writing blog will tell you, I managed it.
This week has been different. I’ve been off work and I’ve been at my mum’s which was filled with family members. It wasn’t easy finding time and space to write, but it happened.
Both Sunday and Monday I did about 2k which I was very happy about. Tuesday was a full day of family activities and I only ended up with 500 words. Wednesday was travel day again which turns out is a great way for me to write. I should do more travelling during NaNo next year. I did 4.6k on Wednesday and I was properly in the zone! It was wonderful! Thursday I was back at work which followed by the office Christmas party. I wrote 2 sentences when I came home… I only did it to get the “30 days” word update badge…🤷♀️ Then the last day arrived, and I ended up with 1.5k and reached 50112 words!
All in all very happy with the week!
Hang on.
This is how my bullet journal word count tracker is currently looking. I colour in a new box for every 1k I write. There are 49 boxes and the start represents my 50k.
This is my NaNo gem 💎 😂 All coloured in!
My Hands
I’m good 👍
What’s next?
SPELLCHECK!!
It’s all going to go through Grammarly while I still remember the story and where I wanted it to go. If I leave it too long I’ll just get confused etc. So it’s better I just do it now before Christmas.
Copy ➡️ Paste ➡️ 1 million problems…..
YAY! CONGRATULATIONS!

CONGRATS 😊 I’m happy to hear that you were able to get out of your slump and make it to 50K, that’s amazing 💕 Those last few days were pretty hard for me too, but I managed to pull through as well 🙂

Good for you! I might have to look into that, I’ve only just heard about it this week. It looks really cool and it looks like it helps show you how far you’ve come even day by day and that seems really motivating.

Thanks! You should check out their webpage and their twitter (if you have one). There is a lot of information on there about NaNoWriMo and the challenge and generally about writing. It’s a lot of fun but also very stressful and emotional.
