Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. This post is a way for me to organise my reading and be in control of my TBR. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What are you currently reading?
Darksoul by Anna Stephens – My ARC-attack continues with Darksoul. I read Godblind earlier this month and enjoyed it even though it was very brutal. I feel this will be a fast read and I’m enjoying that. Everything else I’m reading atm is long or slow, so this is a nice break in the pacing.
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare – My current Faebruary read. I’ve read all her other shadowhunter series and this one is finally ready for me to be read. So far, I’m enjoying it but its a very long book and I’m not sure I have the patience to do it during a readathon, even a long one like Faebruary.
Transgressive by Rachel Anne Williams – an accumulation of essays by the author after transitioning from male to female. The author has degrees in gender studies, psychology and philosophy which makes her arguments and thoughts very interesting. Progress: 30/42 essays done
Sapiens; A Bried History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari – I managed to read Part 1 before it had to go back to the library. I’ve now got it back but find I have no time to read it. What to do…?
What did you recently finish reading?
The Wicked King by Holly Black – The queen of storytelling strikes again. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry. That ending has me question a lot which just proves how good Holly Black really is. I know there will at some point be some sort of happy ending in this series, but she writes so many bad things that I’m constantly questioning how happy that ending is going to be. I’m not 100% sure if Cardan is good or bad, even though I feel I should know he is good. I have doubts. That’s how good she is. She plants seeds of doubt strong enough to not let go, and I don’t get easily affected by these things.
What do you think you’ll be reading next?
New Suns or Fablehaven I think
What are you currently reading? Any good?
Until next time 😁
I hope you find time to read a bit more of Sapiens. It’s a book that I really want to read but I keep hesitating to start it. Happy reading for whichever books you reading in the coming week 🙂

Haven’t read cruel Prince and didn’t even plan to do that. But i’ve read so much hype about that and wicked king that i kind of want to read them 🙈

😂 see if the library has it and give it a try. I wasn’t sold on the Cruel Prince. But there was just something about the wicked King that made me really appreciate Holly Blacks ability to write grey characters. She has done this in her other books too. I really enjoyed her Modern Fairytales trilogy which again contains strong females and grey characters. Maybe you should read some of her other stuff first to get a feel for the writing? I think the Cruel Prince is a bit overhyped but I’m still enjoying them a lot 😊

Im glad you find them interesting! I love non-fiction, but yeah they have to be interesting. With fiction i can pick up a book based on the cover/title/author, but for non-fiction i really have to check it out before deciding to pick it up. So yeah i only pick up non-fiction im really interested in 🙂 usually something a bit different.

Makes sense, I’m the same way but I don’t read much nonfiction–I probably should! I do LOVE documentaries though lol.
