Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. This post is a way for me to organise my reading and be in control of my TBR. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What are you currently reading?
New Suns: Original Speculative Fiction by People of Colour edt by Nisi Shawl – a collection of short stories written by POC. I’m about a quarter through and enjoying it. It’s very creative and colourful so far. Process: 6/16 stories.
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare – I’m halfway through this. The love interests are still struggling with each other, and the love triangle is getting more complex, and the dead are not dead after all… typical. I will finish this today as I have only 2h left of the audiobook 🤗
Sapiens; A Bried History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari – I managed to read Part 1 before it had to go back to the library. I’ve now got it back from the library but find I have no time to read it. What to do…? 📚
What did you recently finish reading?
Transgressive by Rachel Anne Williams – Love this trans memoir essay collection! The author goes through several topics and does a philosophical discussion on them. She does not provide answers and she does not dive into the philosophical deep end, she keeps it light, or lighter. I loved it and will do a full review nearer the publication date in May.
What do you think you’ll be reading next?
Either Freshwater or A-Z, or both!
What are you currently reading? Any good?
Until next time 😁
I’m always so impressed when people read two books at a time, let alone three! I could never (I wish though). I’ve started a reread of The Shadowhunter Chronicles this year, before I can finally read The Dark Artifices, so I hope you’re enjoying Lord of Shadows! 🙂 I’m currently reading Restore me by Tahereh Mafi, I’m 17% through and I’m really liking it so far!

😳 I might be reading 4 atm… I find they have to be on different topics and not too similar otherwise I’ll mix them which is not good. Yeah Lord of Shadows is what you would expect from a shadow hunter book; action packed, love triangle, forbidden love and more action. I still haven’t read the shatter me series but it’s on my list. I’m glad you like it 😊

4?? And yeah it makes sense that they have to be on different topics, I can only imagine the mix up otherwise. Maybe one day I’ll try! ☺️

Oh we are both reading Lord of Shadows! I’m also 50% in the book and even though the forbidden love irritates me a lot, I’m actually enjoying this much more than I did the first one. Can’t wait to see what you think of it when you finish, if we share our thoughts about it. 😀

Yay! Im glad you are enjoying it. And yes it is a bit annoying but you always get a forbidden love thing with Cassandra Clare books. I actually finished mine last night. I didn’t expect that ending tbh. I enjoyed it. Now I need to wait for the library to get the last book.

That ending was quite something!

Yup! It was a bit darker and a bit more intense than expected. Will you do your full review on here (blog)?
