Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What I’m currently reading
The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan – a band of misfits find themselves in the middle of a magical war?! Sign me up! This book was on my most anticipated under-hyped read of 2019. It came out in January and I got my hand on a copy. I’m just started it and really enjoying it. My initial thought is the world building is a bit steep , but that might be due to the amount of YA I have read recently.
The A-Z of Gender and Sexuality by Morgan Potts – a reference book that contains all the word you need to know about gender and sexuality! I’m learning a lot reading this. I’m currently on F and flaming.
Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari – On Hold! – Well, I’m still waiting for this one to come back from the library.
What I just finished?
A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab – I had heard a lot of negative stuff about this book and was a bit sceptical going in, but I really enjoyed it. I found the competition a nice change to the constant running and backstabbing. And I love Alucard! And also I really like Lila. Is this a unpopular opinion too?

What I’m reading next?
Either I’ll continue with A Conjuring of Light or I’ll pick up another ARC like Emily Eternal or Kingdom of Copper. We’ll see… Emily Eternal seems to be fairly short, while the two others are brick sized.
Until next time, happy reading!

I’m really interested in reading sapiens as well, but I’m afraid it will be hard to follow..! Maybe I should just give it a try!
Happy to see you’re enjoying the shades of magic series!
I really should read city of Brass sometime soon, i keep seeing the sequel everywhere, and i believe it should be good!

I’m not finding it hard to follow. The author makes it a fairly easy and entertaining read.
