1st week of Faebruary!
Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What I’m currently reading?
Fablehaven (Fabelhaven #1) by Brandon Mull – I’ve never read anything by Brandon Mull and after 8% I like his writing style though it seems he doesn’t entirely know how a girl could feel and refers to her wet hair as rubbery instead of something positive like I would have done. But never mind.
The Girl Who Chose (Chess Raven Chronicle #2) by Viola Grace – This is the sequel to The Girl Who Fell which I read for last years Faebruary. this is the one with shape shifting unicorns to sexy men LOL! there is so much simple drama and see through plot point that I laugh out loud. Don’t get me wrong. Its not supposed to be a funny book, or at least I don’t think so, but I find it quite hilarious.
The Danish Girl by David Ebershoff – ON HOLD – I haven’t gotten far in this but so far its sweet and gentle and easy to read however I’m loosing interest in this book… Though I need to finish it before the end of the month due to book club meeting…
Jordmor pa Jorda by Edvid Hoem – ON HOLD – This is a slow read but very interesting. A mix between non-fiction and historical fiction. Very original.
What I just finished?
Iron and Smoke by Brandon Nolta – I will do a full review, but I really liked this book, but it had some issues too.
Faefever (Fever #3) by Karen Marie Moning – This is such a fun easy read! Its becoming a classing for Faebruary. I seem to read at least one fever book every time and I don’t regret it. I have so many questions a theories about who Barrons is and what is happening in general. It’s so fun!
What I’m reading next?
It’s Faebruary readathon at the moment and my TBR contains several books I could read and some I should read. However, I’m not sure which book I should pick up next. I have no steady plan. TomeTopple starts on the 7th so I might go for Daughter of the Forest or something big, but I might skip TomeTopple all together and just continue with the small stuff.
I have found my reading pace has slowed a bit since 2019. I’m not sure why but I don’t like it. Somehow I need to pick up the pace if I want to achieve my 100 books goal for the year.
until next time
