#SixForSunday – 23rd February- Favourite covers

This Sunday tag is created and run by Steph over at A Little But A Lot. There are some very interesting and fun prompts coming up this spring so check it out. Today’s topic is favourite covers or type of covers.

Let’s dive into the list of my 6 favourite covers or type of covers.

The Bone Witch

I love covers with details and intricate designs but still with some elements of the book and story within it. The Bone Witch cover is the perfect example. In the middle sits a girl I imagen to be the main character and surrounding her is this delicate design that frames her. I love it.

This is another delicate design, however its simple in comparison to The Bone Witch. Gutten is a simple pencil drawing of an unperfect boy’s face. I can image that is what the boy in the book looks like but there is something more to the drawing as well. There is a personality hidden in the features and the way he looks at you. Again I love it.

What If It’s Us?

A YA contemporary with a m/m romance and this is the perfect cover for it. Its got soft colours and shows the moment they met. That long look after passing someone by. It’s super sweet and I loved the book too ๐Ÿ™‚

The Prey of Gods

I love the idea of the little girl with this bigass robot guardian holding her umbrella against the sun. The cover made me giggle and I pick up the book to read it – I did not regret that. The book was awesome! But yeah funny covers get me ๐Ÿ™‚

This beautiful edition of Persuasion is a leather bound Barns & Noble edition and I love it. It’s also my favourite Jane Austen novel. I love the cover for its details and design but also the font. I love design that goes well with the font. Its just so pleasing to look at ๐Ÿ™‚

The Vagrant

Lastly, I bough this based on the cover and loved the book too. A lone soldier with a massive sword holding a baby in what looks to be a dystopian world. That is all from the cover and all you need to know about the book. There are no spoilers on the cover but enough detail to get me interested.

Sound like I love detailed covers with some design and no spoilers on them but with something to indicate what the book is like/about. What about you?

What do you think?

Let me know!
