Fae, fairy, and the small people
This month was Faebruary Readathon and I did a full summary of what I read and my thoughts on them on the readathon Wrapup.
In short I read 7 books again, same as January. To be able to reach my 100 books goal for the year I need an average of 8 books a month. So I’m hoping this is just a slow start to the year.
Books Read This Month
Again my thoughts are found on the Faebruary Wrap up.
Reading Challenge check:
Let’s hold me accountable.
I have two goals this year which involve acquiring books;
- only buy two books a month,
- only request two ARCs a month.
Rules: For buying books it only for books I, personally, spend money on including subscription boxes (one per box), but it excludes my audible membership and all free books and gifts. For the ARC’s I’ve focused on my request-button-pressing and not getting the requests approved because you don’t know if it will be approved, nor do you know when it will be approved. Therefore, only two request-clicks per month. I can move the points between the months and if I don’t use them in one month transfer them to the next month.
I will have this on my wrap-ups every month.
- Only buy two books a month:
- The Source to the Crown (£0.99 – on offer!)
Available credit from last month; 1
Credit transferring over to next month: 2
- Only request two ARC’s:
- The City We Became 🤷♀️
- The Door of Eden ❌
Available credits from last month; 0
Credit transferring over to next month: 0
I also had a goal of reading one book from my physical shelf and one books from my e-book shelf per month. None of these can involve 2020 acquired books. Based on all the books I read this month these are the ones from my shelves:
- Physical shelf
- The Hazel Wood
- Blood of Elves
- E-Book shelf
- Fablehaven x2
It’s so nice to look at these stats and think that I will soon have space for new things 😂 she says as she accepts an offer of the entire Broken Earth Trilogy by a friend who is clearing their read bookshelves…🤦♀️
Have you read any of these?
Of all of them I think Blood of Elves was my favourite this month. What was your favourite read this month?
Until next time; happy reading!
