Not much progress… Working from home is hard!

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

What I’m currently reading?

The Secret Commonwealth (Book of Dust #2) by Philip Pullman – I’m listening to this on audio while I work. It’s narrated by Michael Sheen, the actor, and I love his voices and the way he narrates. Also enjoying the story. I’m halfway but I have yet to understand exactly where is the series it lays, if that makes sense. It needs to be returned to the library in 4 days and I have 12 hours left – this will be a stretch!

The Rabbi’s Daughter by Reva Mann – I’m not far into this but I already remember reading parts of it. Its interesting and I do feel I have a different view on it now that previously. Waiting was probably a good choice. Though I hope to finish this by the end of the month, but it could be a stretch.

The City We Became by N. K. Jemisin – LOVING THIS! The world is amazing! It’s so well done with the personification of the boroughs. I’m well over 60% and hoping to finish it before the end of the month 🙂

Jordmor pa Jorda by Edvind Hoem – ON HOLD – This is a slow read but very interesting. A mix between non-fiction and historical fiction. Very original. I should probably un-hold this now but I’m not ready yet. I need fast paced stuff right now and this doesn’t have that.

What I just finished?

It’s amazing how working from home gives you less reading time… I don’t know how that works.

What I’m reading next?

The Evidence of The Affair has now held this ‘Reading Next’ position for the last three weeks. I’m determined to read it by the end of the month!

until next time

  1. This reminds me that I at some point finally have to read His Dark Materials. These books have been on my tbr for far too long. 😆 I hope you’ll manage the book before you have to return it. But I’m sure you totally got this!
