Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?
What I’m currently reading?
The Man In The High Castle by Philip K Dick – just started this classic. so far the writing is interesting and a bit heavy. Story wise, I’m not sure whats going on yet.
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir – also just started this though a lot more has happened. Its not as funny as I expected from the synopsis but I like the wring style and speaking style. I can understand if other find it annoying, but I’m OK atm. Buddy reading this with a friend.
Jordmor pa Jorda by Edvind Hoem – ON HOLD – This is a slow read but very interesting. A mix between non-fiction and historical fiction. Very original. I should probably un-hold this now but I’m not ready yet. I need fast paced stuff right now and this doesn’t have that.
What I just finished?
The City We Became by N. K. Jemisin – LOVING THIS! The world is amazing! It’s so well done with the personification of the boroughs. I’m well over 60% and hoping to finish it before the end of the month 🙂 Full review here.
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary – This was super cute! And I loved it, though it wasn’t a 5 star for me. It was a 4.5 star.
Incendiary (Hollow Crown #1) by Zoraida Cordova – OMG! I loved this book!! I think this is actually my first pure 5 start of the year! I did a full review which is due to be out around the publication date of 28th April. If you like YA fantasy or Latinx fantasy then check this book out 🙂
What I’m reading next?
According to my TBR there is a lot to choice from but I think I’ll read either A Monster Calls (available from the library on the 16th April), The Girl and the Stars (ARC to be published at the end of the month) or I’ll make a start on The Count of Monte Cristo (which is endless and the earlier I start the less stressful the end has to be).
until next time
