TomeTopple!! – tho I haven’t picked up any of my books for 2 days…
Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
There are no particular reason for why I haven’t read in 2 days. I did have a tension headache on Sunday which seeped into Monday which ccan make reading uncomfortable though I do have audiobook. For some reason I ended up on YouTube these past 2 days and fell into a heavy Glee black YouTube hole. And yesterday I started season 1 of Glee, just becasue… Hopefully I can find some sort of equilibrium and find reading time and Glee time.
The three Wโs are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think youโll be reading next?

Gemina (The Illuminae Files #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – I’m loving being back here! Gemina is following different characters but takes place after book 1 and in the same area. Tho I miss a “helpful” Aiden LOL. I hope he might be around somewhere or maybe in the last book.
Tiger’s Daughter (Their Bright Descendant #1) by K. Arsenault Rivera – I’m loving the way this book is written. There are almost two narratives; one by the empress in current time (I think) and one from the Empress reading a long letter from an old friend telling her and reminding her of their travels and their history. I’m loving the letter way of narration.
The Girl and The Stars by Mark Lawrence – ON HOLD – I couldn’t finish this after TomeTopple or at the end as it is over 500 pages, but I’m 55% in which leaves about 250 pages. I’m really liking this book so far. I love the characters and I loved the world! I can already visualise where the other two books are going to go which is the author making me a promise of whats to come. But I don’t know ho or when or any of the details and I have tons of questions.
Jordmor pa Jorda by Edvind Hoem – 34% in. I’m only reading a page or two here and there. The book doesnt need more attention than that. This is a slow read but very interesting. A mix between non-fiction and historical fiction. Very original!

Rebel (Legend #4) by Marie Lu – I loved being back with Day and June and to see how they are around each other these days. Though this book follows Day and Eden for most of the time June is in it a lot but we don’t get her perspective.

According to my May TBR there is plenty to jump on to, but TomeTopple is running and I have a separate TomeTopple TBR that I go by so my next read will be Middlegame by Seanan McGuire ๐

until next time

Oooooh, Gemina. It’s been a while that I have read it, although I just jumped into Obsidio last month. I have to say I quite liked it but maybe not as much as Illuminae. Little Spider is one of my favourites though. She’s just so crass. ๐

Tigerโs Daughter is definitely one I need to get back to – I started it, was enjoying it, but put it down and never found my way back. The Girl and The Stars I’m still undecided on. I mostly enjoyed his last series, but I can only handle so much bleak, frozen grimdark without needing an escape to more welcoming fantasy environments.

Yeah thtas the danger of putting a book down for too long – never picking it back up. I like how its written, it very different for a fantasy novel. Well, not to tell any spoilers but The Girl and The Stars doesn’t take place on the ice for long. I went in think this was epic fantasy, but it quickly turned out to be something closer to home ๐
