WWW Wednesday – 15th July 2020

I haven’t read at all this last week. I’ve been Netflixing…

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

How to Be an Anti-racist by Dr. Ibram X. Kendi – The author narrates his audiobook himself and starts the book tackling his own racist thoughts about himself. He then goes on to talk about the automatic defence we have build in whenever someone suggest we are racist. So far and I’m not very far in, I’m really enjoying this book and they way its laid out. – no progress since last week,

Who Fears Death? by Nnedi Okorafor – a powerful afrofuturism book with badass magic. I’m halfway through and really enjoying it, but I’m not really in the mood for reading atm.

Jordmor pa Jorda by Edvind Hoem – 34% in. No progress … I don’t have the heart to give it up, but I think I already have.

Nothing….!

According to my July TBR I have a lot to read, but this slump is not going anywhere. The good thing is that I haven’t tried to read either. So I gave myself a week off and I feel more relaxed about this slump. Its fine. I know I’ll get back up soon. There is The Reading Rush at the end of the month and I want to have recovered by then. I think I’ll ease myself in from today on. I’ve saturated myself with feel good TV. I finished Say I Do on Netflix which is by the Queer Eye creators so another group of gay guys helping others but this time its about the perfect wedding for people who have struggled in life. I laughed and I cried and I felt good πŸ™‚ so maybe I’ll read something this weekend πŸ™‚

until next time
