WWW Wednesday – 19th August 2020

It’s almost the end of TomeTopple!

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three Wโ€™s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think youโ€™ll be reading next?

Lethal White (Strike #4) by Robert Galbraith – TomeTopple – I ran out of reading material for TomeTopple!! apart from The Count of Monte Cristo… So I needed something more on the side so I finally pickled up Lethal White. Not sure I’ll be able to finish this within TomeTopple but we’ll see. I have half a week left and I’m almost 300 pages in (out of 770p) ๐Ÿ™‚

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – TomeTopple – OK guys! I have officially started this book! It’s been on my TBR for about 4 months now I think. And now it’s started. Yay! Tho I’m finding its difficult read just after finishing Crescent City and Obsidio so maybe I should have read this first but oh well. I wonder how far I’ll get during TomeTopple. I’m currently on 6h out of 52h…

Who Fears Death? by Nnedi Okorafor – On Hold! – No progress since last week but I will finish this when I finish my TomeTopple books. I will!

Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – TomeTopple – Such a worthy ending to a series ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m very happy ๐Ÿ™‚

Black and British: A Forgotten History by David Olusoga – TomeTopple – This was so enlightening. I learned a lot about history and the different reasons to why something happened and not just that it happened. Very well written and highly recommended read ๐Ÿ™‚

House of Earth & Fire (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J Maas – TomeTopple – AAAAA! its was super good but not perfect. I really look forward to the next instalment whenever that happens. Urban fantasy might not be my favourite thing but I like how SJM has interpreted it.

I have plenty to get on with on my August TBR. Even though TomeTopple is over this weekend, I think I need more time finish my reads. Then I need to pick up Who Fears Death again and finish that. Then I’ll see how much time I have left.

until next time

    1. Yay! I don’t know how the book is with its different written medium but I loved the audiobook version . I loved how it had different voices and a full cast for it. Maybe you shout try a different medium when you revisit? Maybe I should read the actual book if I revisit? ๐Ÿ™‚
