Slow start to Bookoplathon but a good start on my ARCs!
Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.
It’s currently Becca’s Bookoplathon and my TBR can be found here.
The three W’s are
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll be reading next?

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab – AAAH This is so sweet! I’m only 10% in and didn’t realise its a 500+ page book!
Restless by William Boyd – Bookoplathon – Hmm. I know I don’t like historical fiction and I also know I’m careful when it comes to male authors and female main characters. I think I should have been a bit more careful about this book. I’m not a fan of the writing style though I don’t hate it. The story itself is vaguely interesting so at least I keep picking the book up. But there are part in here where the male author uses words about an action of the female main character a female author wouldn’t use… Anyway I’ only have 100 pages left and might as well carry on. Maybe I can finish this today?
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – Started this during TomeTopple in August. It’s 52 hours long and by the end of the readathon I had 38 hour left. I’ve now got 28 hours left 🙂

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik – This was so fun and magical! I think this might be a new Novik favourite. Full review to come on the publication date 29th September 🙂

September TBR and Becca’s Bookoplathon TBR are both filled with options. I think I’ll pick up a Bookoplathon book next. Probably Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman or maybe a library book like Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev.

until next time

This looks like a lovely varied list of books! I really enjoyed reading The Count of Monte Cristo – I thought it was very readable for a classic. Plus the sense of triumph you get when finishing such a long book is amazing! 📚❤️ X

For being a classic, yes it is very readable but I do struggle to figure out the plot lol. Yes I can tick it off the list and feel great! 🙂 Thanks!
