WWW Wednesday – 16th September 2020

Halfway through Bookoplathon and September!

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

It’s currently Becca’s Bookoplathon and my TBR can be found here.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Neverwhere (London Below #1) by Neil GaimanBookoplathon – I’m about 24% in atm. Planning on getting to 40-50 % today. Enjoying it a lot as expected but the book is quicker to read than expected which is nice. I love Neil Gaiman! I am having some Addie LaRue flashbacks about being forgotten though lol

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – Started this during TomeTopple in August. It’s 52 hours long and by the end of the readathon I had 38 hour left. No progress since last week so I’ve still got 28 hours left πŸ™‚

Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev – This was such a worthy retelling of Persuasion / the second chance trope. Though it does deals which some heavy topic such as marital rape etc, it was still cute and I really enjoyed it πŸ™‚ I will definitely read the author’s other stuff.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab – AAAH This was so sweet! Yes it was long and yes it has a slow start but by 30% I was all invested πŸ™‚ also the ending took me by surprise. Well done! Full review to come closer to the publication date.

September TBR and Becca’s Bookoplathon TBR are both filled with options. I think I’ll pick up a physical book like These Rebel Waves but I also need to read Help Me! as its due back to the library this weekend, and Endsinger is a long audiobook and heavy fantasy so it would be great to get to that one too soon.

until next time

      1. Oh totally understand that. I think I might want to try NaNo again this year (I skipped last year) so I’m trying to get caught up with all my reading and blogging by the end of this month/early October. Good luck!
