WWW Wednesday – 7th October 2020

October already…

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

It’s currently Gothtober and my TBR can be found here.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Akata Warrior (Akata witch #2) by Nnedi Okorafor – I’m halfway through this fun fantasy set in Nigeria. I read the frist book a few years ago but I still remember a lot from it so going into this one was fine. There is also a recap in the beginning for those who need it. And it’s done in a fun way! Anyway, I’m loving this story as expected 🙂

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – Started this during TomeTopple in August. It’s 52 hours long and by the end of the readathon I had 38 hour left. No progress since last week so I’ve still got 28 hours left 🙂

Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia – Last book I finished on the last day of September. I loved this! It was so fun and sweet and original. I loved the human vs god element Hun-Kame struggles with. I loved the Underworld and the magic of it. And obviously, I loved Casiopea and her stubborn braveness and badassery 🙂 Lastly, I loved that it was a standalone! (they are so rare!!)

October TBR and Gothtober TBR are both filled to the brim with good books (or I hope they are good). I’m not sure which to pick next, but maybe I’ll pick up one of these;

until next time
