WWW Wednesday – 17th March 2021

A suddenly TomeTopple happened…

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Plain Bad Heronines by Emily M DanforthTomeTopple – Only a few chapters in but so far it’s weird and slightly creepy. There is somehting about boarding schools that makes things creepy. Death by bee stings are so doable and realistic it adds to the creepyness.

The Unbroken (The Magic of Lost) by C. L. ClarkTomeTopple – Only a few chapters in. So far I’m liking the main characters and the banter she has with some of the others. Though I can already feel the tension in it.

We Hut The Flame by Hafsa Fazal – I managed 70% of this book between knowing about Tometopple last Friday and starting TomeTopple on Monday. I’m loving it even though the format of the ARC file is horrible and several words a stuck together. If I read fast enough I don’t notice it as much lol.

Skyward Inn by Aliya Whiteley – This has turned out to be something very different from what I expected. It’s like a General Fiction book in Sci-fi clothing. I’m not sure about it yet, but I was disappointed. Also I’ve realised it’s super short and I may finish it today or tomorrow…! On a positive note its the first book I’ve ever read that’s set in Devon, UK.

My March TBR is filled with ARCs and several Library boos but TomeTopple is in the way.

I have another two books on the TomeTopple TBR and a few library books that has come through. Not sure if I’ll priritise the tomes or the library books but below is a selection of options. There is also the 48 hour Bookoplathon coming this weekend and I can already see myself drawn to it 🤦‍♀️ I mean why not do two readathons in one go right?! It’s a Readathon that’s fully live on YouTube between several booktubers starting with Becca and the books.

until next time

  1. Miss Peregrines is a book I’ve wanted to read for ages! I don’t know why I’ve not been able to get around to it yet. It looks brilliant. I hope you enjoy it!
