WWW Wednesday – 14th April 2021

I went back to the gym this week. It’s been 3 months… Lets just say I’m not moving much today.

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

On Writers and Writing by Margaret Atwood – Only one chapter in but this audiobook is narrated by the author herself which I really enjoy. So far she has only talked about why writers write which is very interesting.

Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon – Just started and only 5% in so cant say much but I know it involves a cult and the main character has run away from it. I also know the main character identify as non-binary and gives birth in the first chapter. So its been a lot already but its great. It has very interesting writing and I’m currently trying to figure out when we are.

The One’s We’re Meant To Find by Joan He – I loved this book! There were so many elements in here. The sisters and their relationship was very interesting. But my favourite part is how the romance ends up at the end. Full Review t come closer to publication date 4th May in the UK.

My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh – I didn’t enjoy this book. I was constantly hoping it would be better or have a reasonable conclusion, but then the author goes and uses 9/11 as a plot twist. It was effective but no thanks. It was well written though.

The Silence by Don Delillo – Again not a book I enjoyed. It had no resolution, conclusion or ending. It had sci-fi elements in terms of randomness that happens to people who used to be stuck to their devices, etc. Still, it was not enjoyable.

My April TBR has a few more books on and since I picked my physical book yesterday, it might be what I read. Or the book club book.

until next time
