June TBR and reading plan 2021

I have so many ARCs to read…

May was a lot better than April so at least that’s a plus. It got very stressful at the end which is leading into June. I’ll be trying to read 3 ARCs before The QueerLit Readathon starts on the 6th June… yeah you read that right. 3 full books before the 6th!

I’m doomed.

I will give it my best shot though as see what happens 😁

June has Queer Lit Readathon from 6 – 12th which I plan to participate and I will have a separate TBR for that with a separate post and video. But for now lets look at what I plan to read outside the QueerLit week.

Let’s dive in!

The links will take you to their GoodReads page for each book. If the book doesn’t have a GoodReads page, the link will take you to their Amazon page. They are not affiliated links.

My main concern is that all these ARCs come out during the QueerLit so I plan to read them before…. somehow.

The Wolf and The Woodsman by Ava Reid – A east- european inspired red riding hood retelling of some kind. I think this one includes a plot to overthrow a king or empire or something and Red joins forces with the woodsman. Sounds good 😁 Publication date UK 8th June 2021

Black Water Sister by Zen Cho – A magical realism with a haunted (literally, the MC seems ghosts and this one has latched on to her and causes more trouble than the MC wants) main character travelling to Malaysia to find someone. I think. We’ll see. Publication date UK 10th June 2021.

The Jasmin Throne (Burning Kingdoms #1) by Tasha Suri – A brand new Indian inspired fantasy series and I’m so excited for it. I’ve heard nothing bad about this. Publication date UK 10th June.

Sorcerer to the Crown (#1) by Zen Cho – the first in a series about magic in old England or something. Sounds really good and I like the author’s writing so at least I’ve picked an ebook early on πŸ™‚

Again I’ll pick this by a random number generator and vlog the reading experience. I’ll do this after the QueerLit when everything settles down.

Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson – a non fiction book about communication which is something I need.

Mrs Death Misses Death by Selena Godden – originally on my May TBR but never came through. Hopefully it will get to me this month.

Gender Swapped Fairytales by Karen Fransman & Jonathan Placket – Not sure when I’ll fit this in but its due to come to me in early June. The titles of this makes me hopefully that it contains some good queer stuff πŸ₯°

Also here is the TBR I filmed for my YouTube channel. Just in case you can’t be bothered to read my post πŸ™‚

Have you read any of these? What did you think?

What’s on your TBR?

Happy reading!
