WWW Wednesday – 7th July 2021

Hardly any progress since last week. I’m not entirely in the mood but I’m not yet in a slump 🤞

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Sissy by Jacob Tobia – nonfiction about gender and coming of gender as a gender non conforming child. It’s very interesting! Also the narrator (the author themselves) sounds a bit like a mix between Bobby Berk and JVN from Queer Eye which I love.

A Universe of Wishes edited by Dhonielle Clayton – an anthology with diverse stories in fairytale type stories. I’m 25% in and I’m trying to read one story a day. None of the ones I’ve read so far blew me away. They are all ok atm.

The Wolf & The Woodsman by Ava Reid – It was on hold during QueerLit and I only managed 50% before then. I was on 67% two weeks ago. Today I’m on 81%. Still slow progress. There is nothing wrong with the book tho. It’s just me.

Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson – Finally finished something! I haven’t finished anything since 26th June. This books was both interesting and sluggish. I learned a lot about myself but as an audiobook I won’t retain some of the information to learn about others. But I’m glad I’ve read it. Now I know I’m a Red-Blue-Green and know how to keep myself in check 😂

My July TBR game gave me some good options but I keep starting new books and I want to focus on actually finishing some.

What do I pick up after? Definitely something from my TBR.

until next time
