WWW Wednesday – 11th August 2021

Not much progress but slow and steady wins the race right?

Welcome to my WWW Wednesday meme post, originally hosted by Taking in a World of Words. All I need to do is answer the three questions below which all start with a W.

The three W’s are
  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll be reading next?

The Fair Fight by Anna Freeman – Set in the 1799 era following female boxers and I’m halfway. So far it’s ok. There are more POVs than expected and a distinct lack of boxing focus but I hope it picks up. I think I’m super critical to the book because im not a historical fiction fan.

Assassin’s Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy #1) by Robin Hobb – Just over 100 pages in. It’s very interesting but I struggled to get into it in the beginning. Maybe its my need for audiobooks that draws me away from the page or maybe its somehting else. I odnt know. But I’m invested in Fitz now.

My August TBR and TBR game was a fun round. I have already finish one book from that TBR but there are so many left to read. I’m still waiting for any announcements about TomeTopple and I’m getting worried it might not happen. I want to start TomeTopple with a blank slate and leave the smaller books on my TBR for after the readathon. I don’t want to start a big book just before the readathon either, but without dates this is tricky. I’m not sure anymore. I think my next read will be an ARC of some kind. My next 2 ARC’s are due out on the 17th so I better get on it. I might pick up Velvet was the Night first.

until next time
