I enjoyed this book, but I have issues with it. I very much enjoyed the magic system and the LGBT romance, but there are areas in which this book is weak.
The reason I requested this ARC, is because of what I saw in the first line of the description: Half-huldra Retz Gallows is having an awful day. -> Wait! Did you say HALF-Huldra?!? *REQUEST!* I ended up almost loving it with all its morally grey characters 😁

I really enjoyed this book, and enjoyed is the right word because its the only word which really fit with what I feel about this book. And I've used "enjoyed" a lot in this review. Its almost over used. Enjoy!

River Solomon explores several interesting and tough issues including slavery, colour, women rights, gender, not wanting children, sexuality and romantic orientation.
I absolutely loved this modern day faerie tale where real girls end up saving the day. Faerie tales where the prince/monster needs saving by the princess. I hope with this spoiler-free review you might be tempted to pick up this trilogy as I highly recommend it 😁
